Everything was fine except when we went to drop off the car. I had reserved it until 4pm, she said we were supposed to return it at 12mn, and was mean about it. When the bill came I was correct. I had paid for what was reserved.

I can not believe it took close to an hour to finally have the keys in hand. I have rented and traveled many times, this was a first. I felt the attendant, although friendly and patient, wanted my 1st born before sealing the deal. I provided my driver's license and insurance as usual but, they required a copy of my declaration sheet as proof of full coverage. I'm sure he was only do his job; however, maybe during booking this should all be addressed so there are no surprises at arrival for pickup. Thx you

It’s a local car which is perfect for driving on an island. It looked like every other car in a parking lot which I like. I don’t like having a flashy car that stands out. This one blended in perfectly. The pick up and drop off was excellent and expedient. It was excellent value for the price.

They were quick to check in and out. Car was new with under 5000 miles and clean. They did charge a daily fee for tolls which was really not needed.
Excellent. But they should have told me there was a toll sticker on the front window.

Excellent, Edwin eagerly and thoroughly filled the rental contract of the vehicle, explaining all options. Was then politely greeted by Gabriel at the end of the rental, making sure my rental was to our satisfaction.
The shuttle to and from the airport was fine, but the drop off location was difficult to find especially in the early morning. They need to do a better job of explaining that at check-in. The morning crew was surly, (somewhat understandable) but they could have done a better job at saying "good bye and come back soon!"

The car had roaches and had a lot of stains in the seats. After dropping it back at the airport and got our receipt online we noticed charges like the LDW that we got through the app and the lady at the airport took notice when we picked the car. In total they charged $199.92 for the LDW. They also charged for Roadside assistance and Personal Protection which we never asked or wasn’t offered. I will never use Thrifty again. I called their number in San Juan airport (787)253-2525 to file a claim and it took them 25 minutes to answer the call. Horrible service.

I brought a valid car collision and anti theft insurance valid in Dominican Republic. The employee from Thrifty told me that I had to buy extra insurance from then and he didn’t give me the car. That employee was very rude and unhelpful. At the airport, the other rental car employees told us that that was a very common practice from thrifty and their personnel, because that’s how they make their commissions. PLEASE!!! Do not rent from this people!!!

The service was great. Super easy pick up and drop off. The bad part was the car seemed to have an electrical problem. I used the car play and everytime we went over a slight uneven road it would disconnect the phone, not using the using and using the usb, which caused distraction to driving.
After having a van reserved for months, upon arrival they told me they no longer rent them and they tried to offer me 2 vehicles to drive 9 people around all week. The sales people were horrible and claim that they had called me several times about the rental which was a lie based on phone records. The company sent me several confirmations and never cancelled the reservation. At the last minute I had to scramble and find a different rental while my group waited at the airport. Horrible!

The pick-up location isn't at the airport but in the heart of Condado which I new anyway so you have to add a ride to and from the airport if you fly in.
Convenient location across the street from the Grand Cayman airport. Very friendly and efficient check in. Van was clean and functional. We would use this Hertz location again.

We'll definitely dispute the charges on the credit card - the car broke down twice and upon our return we were informed that hertz would us call us to ascertain this issue. We got a bill sent to us via email and the phone call from them hasn't happened. We're upset 😡

The problem was lack of up to date inventory on Grand Cayman The car I initially received was not in great condition, including a key fob that didn't work. I called the Hertz office expressing my disappointment. The next day, Ali, the manager, drove to the other side of the island, 45 minutes away, and swapped out the first car with a newer one in much better condition. He was very apologetic and empathetic. So overall, the service was great. Inventory, though, has apparently been an issue with regard to getting fresh cars from Hertz to the island.

I landed at Santo Domingo at 9 pm local with a proper Hertz reservation to be told at the Hertz stand they had no car available for me, no alternative to offer and I could get lost. Needless to say my holidays were ruined. I will see what my next step against Hertz will be. Totally unprofessional and even criminal to leave a family like that at 10 pm at this airport with no service at all. NEVER EVER AGAIN WITH HERTZ

No office inside the airport. No signage. No shuttle pickup. And that’s just for starters. Wrong car the first try, had to come BACK to the airport the next morning for my reserved car. Long wait time., overall subpar experience.

I was charged for additional insurance when making the reservation and when i picked up my car was told the insurance I had was not acceptable and needed to take out budgets insurance which ended up costing me double what i was expecting to pay. car rental pick up in Santo Domingo is a very long and drawn out procedure it took me over 30 minutes to complete all the paper work and get the required documents and pay so i could go and get the car. the entire pick up process from time I got to the counter until I drove off the lot was over an hour which is just not acceptable. When finally departing with the car I was not informed that on return I must not follow signs to car rental drop off but go towards the terminal where the new budget office is. So on my return I went to the car rental area and once inside I realized I was in the wrong spot and then could not exit as needed a ticket to exit called budget who said they would come get me in about 5 minutes but this did not happen after waiting for about 20 minutes was fortunate that an employee from another rental company gave me an exit ticket so I get out and told me where to go. When I finally got to the budget drop off office and asked why I was not informed not to follow car rental signs was told but you picked the car up from here you should have know. Though by using a well know company would avoid all these issues but realize that was not the case. if renting cars at Las Americas airport Santo Domingo factor in at least 1 hour or more to get your car
