I have rented a car and prepaid all taxes and service fees before travelling to Ireland with a fully paid and non refundable reservation number from Kayak. My husband was the driver of this vehicle and presented to the airport for pick up on August 19, 2023. He travels extensively for work and has a credit card that covers Collision Damages Waiver and Theft Protection. He explained this clearly to the agent Michael, who insisted that he would be required and it was MANDATORY (the words exactly used) to purchase these. He upsold him the Supercover insurance and told my husband that this is mandatory. I examined the contract when he returned and told me the nature of this conversation. Having lived and studied in Ireland myself for 5 years, I did my due diligence and inquired from other car rental agencies and examined the legislation within Ireland to determine the validity of these claims. My clear understanding is that Third Party Liability insurance is a legal requirement in the prepaid price of all car rentals in Ireland, protecting from property damage, injury and death. Fire insurance is also included in this prepaid price. If the CDW and TP is declined or that written proof is required and the customer declines this, a credit card authorization of a larger amount can be applied to the rental. These options were not presented and in fact, miscommunicated at the time of rental by your agent Michael. This should be investigated and the insurance reimbursed, or at the very least the supercollision insurance that was in fact, not required.

Car was technically "similar" to what we reserved (5 person + luggage) but actually much smaller with tiny little back windows so rear passengers couldnt see much. Also, crazy stupid requirements to waive insurance were not stated ahead of time.

Picked car up in downtown Dublin. Nice clean comfortable to drive vehicle. Quick pickup and drop off. Full insurance coverage for 2 weeks seemed expensive, so shop around. No issues with rental at all and good service.
It was a great experience with Enterprise rent a car in Dublin Airport Ireland. Easy pickup and drop off. Malik was especially helpful. He told us where to go and the best way to get to departure. Overall the experience was excellent! We highly recommend it!

Everything worked great. The car was a good size and realtively new. The people involved were all very nice.
When I rented the car they said they checked it over and everything is ok. I asked about a couple of dents and they said don't worry about those because we aren't too picky here in Ireland. I said take a picture anyways. When I returned the car the female manager wanted to charge me for those same dents but I don't her about the picture. She looked it up and said don't worry. She then looked at the tires and found a slight bump on one of the tires but I couldn't see it. She said rub my finger on it and I felt a little bump. I didn't see it then or when I rented the car so I must have been driving on a bad tire throughout the trip. They just withdrew 271.73 Euros from my credit card. I have used Enterprise before but it looks like Alamo isn't as good. Everyone in Ireland was very nice and honest except this night woman manager at Dublin Airport.

The counter rep with whom we dealt with when we picked up the car, Grace, was very competent but friendly and helpful as well. The rep who went over the car with us was equally competent and friendly. Lastly, the rep we dealt with when we turned in the car, Dan, was also friendly and helpful. Your staff at Dublin were excellent and you should be proud of them.
Absolutely terrible. First they give you a nice price online. Once you get here the price goes up dramatically (more than 5 times in our case). Don't book here!

I was very unhappy with been forced to pay 420 euro for car insurance. In the past I always opted to provide a deposit on my credit card. On this occasion I was told it was illegal to rent a car without paying the insurance. I even showed that my car insurance provider covers me for car rental up to 100000 dollars but the guy at the desk refused to accept. I though the whole process was very shady. Iv rented cars for up to ten years before covid and this experience I won't forget in a hurry.

The main issue was the car I ordered was not the one they said I ordered. They blamed Kayak saying you all miss led me. You offered a midsize SUV but it was a small SUV. How is that my fault??? The issue is between you and them but I payed the price! The car was off site and we had to wait 50 minutes for a shuttle bus. Dollar were under staffed and the lines were long. They told me to never use Kayak again to book a car with them. I’m staying away from both Dollar and Kayak for our trips moving forward!!!! Not a happy customer!!!!!

Rental agent was rather unprofessional. After a long flight from Canada, the last thing I wanted was an unhelpful agent. A side note, not one person at the desk was wearing a mask.
The car was good, the staff efficient. My big problem was that there was no insurance within the reservation and at the rental desk I had to pay 400 euros more (for just the car to insure, not the passengers, and for a higher price than usual). It was a very bad surprise as during the reservation online it was not clearly said that the reservation was without the insurance. I insure my personal car for less than 200 euros per year, how can an insurance for 6 days costs 400 euros with a 2000 euros franchise? I advice everybody to double check the insurance condition during the reservation!

I booked on your site for a 77 year old man and when we arrived, they refused to rent us a car. Luckily I myself had my driving license even though I didn't want to drive in Ireland. they also insisted we had to take their insurance as we couldn't opt out even though we were insured through our visa card.... Amazingly inefficient service on your part and not much better at Budget!

Very easy to collection and drop off. Would have liked to be able to drop off at the airport rather than use the shuttle as we had two small children with us.

Staff was really professional and friendly. I did pay 120 EUR for 2 days rental, basic insurance only and had to leave 2000 EUR deposit for Skoda Fabia that was so basic, it did not have Bluetooth to play music. Comparing that to rentals I had in other countries or even in Ireland few years back price is extremely high.

Very kind staff. Fast pick up and Return of the rental-car. The explanation where the shuttle picks up the people could be also send by mail with a map since there are two Stops at Terminal 1/2. We hope the rental-cars will be one day affordable for all people again ..it got really expansive the last years.( esp. during Corona. Thank you so much for Everything.
