the rental value to what you actually pay is deceptive. The one-day charge I agreed to was $15.14 and with coverage, other charges? and taxes it came to be $62.82 - outrageous.

They didnt provide enough information. So ended up paying extra 500$ for overpriced km when crossing the limit of 700km. Also had an insurance but didn’t pay for a small scratch on the side of a car. And also got completely different car then i booked. Completely disappointed with this service.

Ofrecían en Kayak una oferta especial de menos de USD 60.00 el día de alquiler de un vehículo SUV sin límite en kilometraje, sin embargo; al llegar al counter el asesor no tomó en cuenta la oferta seleccionada y elaboró el contrato por alquiler del vehículo SUV con un precio por sobre los USD 150 por día con kilometraje máximo de 200km los dos días lo cual fue insuficiente. Total, un alquiler que debí pagar como máximo USD 150 terminó siendo más USD 400. No recomiendo para nada Europcar ya que no cumple con las ofertas ofertadas en la aplicación.

Completely disorganized drop off in Cuenca. We were given printed after hours drop off instructions. Nothing was accurate. The parking zone they told us to use does not exist. There was no drop box for keys and the e mail address given to send photos of the car’s condition and location did not work. We still have not received any confirmation of the return.

The car we rented was perfect, clean and perfect conditions, customer service is not so good, they take care of you before you rent the car, is like they are trying to caught the customers and after you return the car , if you have another question they totally ignore you, nobody help you, I will not rent a car with Alamo again

Advertised price on kayak turned out to be triple by the time car was rented. They added so many additional costs. The insurance sold with rental, did not cover damage of broken turn signal cover, after being told the insurance covered everything.

I reserved a car for 6:00 am. Got there shortly before then and nobody was there. We waited until 6:20 am before asking the man at the Europcar window what was going on and he informed us that Alamo does not do single day rentals. This is not a 24 hour service, and they do not respect reservations. Do not use.

The car was not ready at the scheduled time. There were no other cars available. We had to wait 6 hours to pick up the car, thus throwing of out entire itinerary.

Base rental reservation was excellent, but they demanded 'mandatory' added insurance which more than doubled the price. DON'T EVEN BOTHER, Uber is much cheat for what we needed.

It has been so difficult with the rental details, that I decided to cancel the reservation and to use taxis instead. Sixt in Quito did not honor the price or condition that I agrred to when reserving the car thru Kayak several weeks before the trip.

I have rented a car once before with Sixt in California, and everything went smoothly. Not so this time. I made a reservation for a car in Quito, Ecuador. Within a couple minutes of making the reservation (not before), Sixt let me know about a mileage limit, which turned out wouldn't be enough for the trip I wanted to make. I tried calling Sixt locally in Ecuador, internationally at their 888 number, as well as tried to cancel the reservation through the booking agent. None of it was successful: Sixt never answered the phone locally; the international number would not connect me to an agent (the call dropped 3 times before I gave up), and after an hour messaging with Priceline / Kayak, neither was able to resolve the issue. I eventually opened a dispute with my credit card company, which has temporarily refunded me the reservation money, but the official dispute can take months to resolve, and I don't know what the final verdict will be. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed with Sixt this time around.

They are sneaky and make the rental affordable but then when you go to pick up the car, they tell you that the mileage is limited and you owe several hundred additional dollars for mandatory insurance. This is common in a number of countries but still makes for a very unpleasant and expensive experience.
