Price turned out to be double the advertised price even with the insurance that had the highest deductible (€1600). Without any insurance the representative told us there would be no upper limit on damages or if the car would get stolen. At all previous times I’ve rented cars (20+) there has been an upper limit at about €1500–€3000 even without any extra insurance. Will definitely avoid Sixt in the future.

The office in the terminal was closed but no sign was put on. Pick up was through a small desk on the lot outside. The model i had booked was not there so i had to pay extra. The vehicular was not clean and gas tank was not full.

Pros:Nothing is acceptable. Kayak, Priceline and Sixt are employing duplicitous booking practices for car rental in France with hidden cancellation fees. Highway robbery of US$100 to cancel car rental with plenty of notice. This fee was hidden when I booked. Otherwise I never would have reserved in advance.
Cons:Cancellation fees are hidden. It is like stealing US $100 from me. Completely unacceptable. Shady marketing practices. Is it legal??
