My experience with dollar was horrible. When I got there I wait 1 hour in line then when I got to the desk they told my the car I rented wasn’t there. I would have to wait 2-3 hours for the car and if I wanted a different car it would be $75 a day. The person at the desk was smiling and laughing and the manager refused to talk to me. They finally gave me a van for an extra $10 a day which was more than I was supposed to pay but they refused to let me leave with a vehicle otherwise. Then they van broke down immediately leaving the parking lot. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

We made a reservation months ago, but when we went to pick up the car, they told us there was a 1-2 hour wait until they’d have a car ready for us. We had been lucky to have on-time flights, but then ended up with a two-hour “delay” because of the car rental! :( Staff was friendly, car was good, and drop-off experience was quick and easy, so it wasn’t ALL bad, but not a great start! The rep at pick-up also tried to upswell big time with the $75 gas tank and told us we may not be able to get gas near by because places have been running out lately (spoiler alert: we filled up around the corner without a problem). Her explanation of the insurance coverage was confusing too.

Waited an hour and a half in line to pick up the car. It was supposed to be a Buick (or comparable) but it was a foreign cheaply built car we never felt safe in when driving on the highway

I made a reservation in October of 2022. When I got to the Dollar Car Rental location they had my reservation but no available car. I was told to go sit on the bench outside with the other people who were also waiting for cars. No one came out to speak with any of us. After 2 hours I went back in asking for an update. No one offered us any options for the inconvenience like car upgrades, any other car choices or credit on the bill. Jeff Orgel Minneapolis, Minnesota
