Hertz accused me of crashing their car. I drove the car a total of three times and parked in safe places. The car was in exactly the same condition when I dropped it off. Hertz sent me an email later after dropping it off claiming that I had been in an accident and asked me to admit to the fact. I refused, and now they have started legal proceedings. I even bought the Hertz recommended collision coverage, which they claim I now have to go through an insurance company to deal with. What a joke.

Cons:They didn't have any cars and didn't honor my reservation. There were about 50 people there who had reservations, but NO cars. Many people were stranded.
Ordered a compact, kept getting told it was too small or they didn't have one? I couldn't figure out what it was, so ended up getting an upgrade to mid-size and having to pay for it. Just give me the car I booked. I live overseas; I know what a compact car is.
When I entered the vehicle it smelled like smoke. After driving it a bit we realized the smell was of marijuana. After driving to Florida with newly purchased air fresheners I started looking for the source. I found 2 sizable buds under the drivers side passenger seat along with a large amounts of loose leaves. Unfortunately this did not fix the issue. We had to drive back to Mn with that nasty smell. Very dissatisfied by my experience and am telling all who will listen. I will be expecting some or all of my money returned.
