Easy pick up and drop off as well as great counter service
Car was not available at pickup. Only option offered was a different model (minivan vs full suv) at a different location. No compensation offered. Returned the car earlier and was denied refund of early time. Charged a bogus cleaning fee when no extra cleaning was performed. Repeatedly lied to by store manager.

Reserved a Manager Special at $135/day and upon arrival was given something they are renting for $33/day EV. Had the hardest time to find a place to charge and called customer service to return and swap for a gas car. The manager on duty wanted to charge me an upgrade for the days I had already used plus the one I haven’t used yet. When I asked what exactly was Special about the car I got for a $100 extra/day, he had the audacity to tell me that it’s their discretion to give me anything on the lot as a SPECIAL. Be careful when paying a whole lot extra for their SPECIAL, you will get the cheapest car on the lot. The EV was eventually swapped for a gas car with 60k on the odometer and a check engine light on the dash. Luckily I made it to my destination!

The pickup at Houston Bush was terrible. Took over an hour to get me car. When I arrived there were about a dozen people ahead of me in line, with two clerks at the counter. After about ten minutes, both clerks finally finished with their customers, at which point one clerk shut down her station & left for the night, promptly at 7:00pm, leaving the remaining clerk to work through the long line of customers. When I finally got my car, the poor guy still was solo and there were at least another dozen customers waiting behind me - probably would be another hour before they got THEIR cars. Terrible service!!! First time in a long time I’ve used Hertz, will probably not do so again. However, the car was nice, the return three days later smooth & painless.

Renting the car in Houston was great. Dropping it off in Park City was worse than usual. Plus I was charged $200 in extra fees on top of my prepaid rental.
Never was able to get in a car. They did not have the car I rented available and sent me on a 6 hour wild goose chase to different enterprise locations.

We had to wait a while during pickup as there weren’t many cars available at the time. Then an employee gave us a bigger since we were waiting for a long time for the size we had reserved (holiday weekend). But then a manager didn’t want to do after we had already put all our luggage into the car. So they made us take all our stuff out of the car and wait longer. Eventually we got the car and everything went well. We were compensated for the inconvenience and long waiting so overall experience was good.
The company is trying to charge me for damage I did not cause to the vehicle. The photographic evidence was not indicative of any damage having been done to the car. The dispute is ongoing.

Upgraded our car without any upgrade cost from us after they realized the original car was not in their inventory. Clean, kind staff and hassle-free pick up/drop off . Will certainly recommend this agent!
Upon my return from an international flight, I had four pieces of luggage on the trolly. I had initially reserved a mid-size SUV through Kayak, but Avis provided a sedan instead. Furthermore, I was required to retrieve my vehicle three times due to discrepancies in its assigned location. The third vehicle had a noticeable odor of WEED, which was acknowledged by an Avis employee at the ground , prompting a fourth vehicle assignment. This process consumed approximately an hour, which was quite frustrating.

Even though we reserved a car online, when we went to pick it up we were turned away because they were running low on vehicles. This was after taking a shuttle from the airport at around 12AM with two kids in tow.

New car was not clean when received. Staff was unfriendly. Car battery died twice and they cared little for our inconvenience. In total had to wait 5 hours for roadside assistance. Little communication beyond making sure they read me every disclaimer that I was responsible for the vehicle and may be charged for roadside assistance.. As of right now, no one has reached out and they still have not reimbursed me for the day without a car. Total disaster.

Dollar did not have a vehicle for me upon my arrival, despite having a reservation for two weeks. They also had no alternatives and no recommendations, so we were basically stranded upon arrival over 800 miles away from home. Thankfully, Enterprise was able to accommodate us.

Had to wait about an hour to get the car. When the car finally showed up, it was filthy inside. By that time I just wanted to leave, went straight to the hotel and cleaned the inside of the car myself. Stay away from dollar/Thrifty. Absolutely not worth it.
