Please make sure that your car is available at the airport. Hertz has a unit on Lagoon Drive which is only open until 5 PM. They do not help customers travel between the airport office and the Lagoon Drive office. I only had a single carry-on roller and needed a walk anyway, so I walked a mile or out to Lagoon Drive. There were no sidewalks for sections of the walk. Another person I met said that the Lagoon Drive office is only for car sales, not rentals. This was not true, but the rental operation was not smoothly running. While waiting in line, I changed my flight out to Japan to depart on Sunday instead of Tuesday. Hertz will not accept a dropped-off car at the Lagoon office on Sundays. They would not cooperate with the airport office. Really? I canceled the entire reservation. Another pilot lent me a work truck and I boarded the flight to HND on Sunday. Honorable mention: After they found out that I was actually a customer, one of the clerks was kind enough to drop me off at Mitch's, a favorite restaurant of mine in the neighborhood. (I had by that time missed dinner with friends at the Mariana Yacht Club.)
