We waited at the pick up booth for over 30 minutes because agent was no where to be found. Once he arrived he did not give us the car because he didn't agree with the price I had gotten the car for. We ended up not going with the Budget car and rented a car elsewhere.

Pickup was good overall but the drop off was horrible. The was no one at the counter to receive the rental for drop off or a secured box to put the key. I tried calling the phone # listed on the rental agreement but the person that answered hung up and then didn't answer subsequent calls. I ended up leaving the keys with a Hertz rental assistant after they got a hold of someone with Budget just so I could catch my flight as I had no other options.

The front tire has a big crack we requested a new vehicle and the front desk refused to give us a different vehicle. The front desk canceled a reservation after processing payment . Still waiting for budget to come up with an explanation

I’m really disappointed, my flight Was delayed and I had to go next morning because the place was close when I arrived . The next morning they told me. That this reservation was cancel and they don’t have more cars available. I tried to do another reservation online there and they told me : even if they show cars available , we won’t validate your reservation because it takes up to 24 hours to get in the system. So this is a repo. The way they do business, i ending renting a car in Avis for $280, because i really needed a car for that day. When I was there I see that the same thing happened to one more person. I’m really upset

You allowed me to make a reservation for a car that was not even available. I drove 50 minutes just to be told that they did not had any suv’s
Trash service. Got forced to buy insurance even though I had my own. The insurance was more than the price of the rental. Added $437 (American) to the price of the rental. The vehicle was dirty. The brakes on the van were super worn off. Had issues stopping the van while driving. We got a flat tire. The spare was very cracked and also flat. We had to get the original and the spare fixed. The lug wrench is trash. And the jack to lift the van was defective. As I was lifting the van to remove the tire, the jack lost power and the van fell. Almost broke my arm. Overall a very bad experience. Would not recommend. Their vehicles are not well maintained and very dirty, to top it off.

They tried telling me my reservation was no longer available because my plane was delayed 2 hrs. They also talked me into buying the insurance which cost 5 times more then the rental for the car.

Horrible experience. When I got there they didn’t have the car. Plus u have to pay additional for a car rental. Kayak makes it seem like all the fees are included in the fees they give us.

Scam Alert! I made a reservation for a full sized car weeks in advance. Upon arriving at the counter, the representative advised that there were no vehicles available, except for an 8 passenger van that was going to cost twice as much as what my reservation promised. There were no concessions, and I was told if I went to another company, my money would not be refunded. With limited options, and a necessity for a vehicle, I had to go with the van. I will never book with Mex again, it’s a dishonest up selling operation, using Kayak as its medium to scam customers.
They wanted to charge $900 for insurance which is more than double the rental amount. So we cancelled but they refused to give us our money back for the reservation. A total ripoff!
They charged over $560 in insurance that they said was a requirement.

Surprise 100$ per day cost that was not disclosed at rental through kayak. Would never have booked this option and do not recommend for others. Go outside of kayak and stick to bigger companies.
They wanted to give us a vehicle that had an engine light turned on. They had lots of cars on their lot but apparently only has 2 registered. They stated the other vehicle that was available was already reserved. After some talking and threatening to go to a different rental company they were able to give us the vehicle that didn’t have any malfunctions
