I paid in advance for the car rental for 100 days. I was arbitrarily charged an additional $1003.53 in July 24th, 2021 and again another $521.75 when I returned the car one month early on Sept.6th, 2021 with no explanation.. As of this date there has been no credit on my VISA for 30 days for the return. I wasn't notified of additional charges nor does it say so in my paperwork. I think its fraudulent to charge me additional fees for what I don't know. I filed a dispute with VISA for review.
They did not offer a similar car as booked. They did not want to give me a refund 10 minutes after I had made paymeny on the counter. You only see the car after you pay. Payment us made on the counter in a different place then you walk to the parking lot. So imagime my family and I in a foreign country without a car that you selected carefully 8 months after you booked it. I did a quick thinking and accepted a bigger car (more expensive) . I will be pursuing a refund in the USA. Be very careful as Sixt flirts with dishonesty. It is a trap.
