Car was not what I had booked-ad was for a Citroen midsize SUV Received an opel cross lander instead When I got to the vehicle I noticed it had multiple scratches on it So I took a video of the exterior of the car just in case. I should have gone back to the counter and asked for a different car but was tired and wanted to get on the road. When dropping the car off. the agent found a scratch that was not on the vehicle inspection I did not hit or damage the car while I had it. No one looked at the car when I was picking it up. The scratch could have happened while parked in the rental lot prior to my picking up the car? But it did not happen while I was in use of the car I refused to sign any paperwork assuming responsibility for any damage to the car.

How does it make sense to charge for extra drivers? There should be one price for two drivers. Also why does a physical card need to be presented when technology provides a more secure and flexible way of transacting? Fixing those two would have resulted in a perfect score. The attendants at pickup and drop off were very helpful and patient.

Terrible, from the time we got a number, we waited 2.5 hours to “check in” and then they didn’t have a car for us.

The rental process was fine. Car was decent. However when kayak says my rental will be approx 500 EUR and my bill ends up being 1200 EUR that is concerning. Granted I took insurance but there was an additional 22% plus service fees galore. So the value was a definite 1/100

We had to waite more than 3 hours. Agent was rude,He assigned car but it was in different location. On return agent was kind enough to order Taxi however driver insisted on cash payment while agent explicitly told that credit card will accepted. Driver created scene which was very unnerving in a foreign country.
In pick up location lady asked me some other type of driving license paper one, refused to give a car, but for your information i was in Italy 7 times and i was using my driving license wich is international! After i just pass the road to other budjet car rental and got a car, and drivier license was good and they didint asked me any other paper based stupid license! I was very disappointed and i don’t reccomend hertz

The staff member at the counter at Termini, Rita, was absolutely outstanding. We had rented an electric car in error, which presented a number of challenges— she worked through all of them with us, taking great care and a personal interest in making sure our rental experience was positive. She is an outstanding employee and single-handedly transformed our journey..

Car hire office was closed. When we arrived the next morning, they said that booking no longer available.
Pick up was fine but when i needed to drop off an hour late they wanted to charge me an extra day. So, I ended up dropping it off before the drop off time however when I received my bill it said it was late by 2 hours and they charged me. Also, I was charged almost 10x the agreed price to my credit card. Never again.

Great experience overall. I had a fun little manual hybrid Fiat 500 that was perfect for Italy. Zero deductible damage insurance gave me some peace of mind in a foreign country.

The agent that helped me at the Rome airport (Mr. Giancarlo) was very helpful, he explained all the extra options like upgrades and insurance in a professional way with out like usually happens at car rental pushing them on to the customer.
It was a good experience. Convenient drop off made easy at the airport.

The vehicle reserved for pick up was sitting at the location days before my arrival as I pre checked in and was notified it was there. Upon arrival, I waited an hour before it was my turn, to then be told the car that was sitting filthy in the street was the car for me but the previous driver returned it wish front damage. The car was dirty, not cleaners and damaged. I expressed my disappointment and frustration that if this location had this car sitting there days before my arrival damaged, why wasn’t another car made available especially since I needed this car for 7 weeks. I was told since I needed an automatic there wasn’t anything he could do. But I waited until 1PM he has an automatic coming. I waited from 10AM to 1 PM for my car. This car arrived damaged and dirty. The damages were noted in the paper. I left and tried to switch out the car wjth the other Rime location. Again, automatic economy car. I was told due to the high demand nothing was available. I drove an suv non economical vehicle for 7 weeks. I attempted again to swap out the car and could not. When the car was returned, I was charged 2 different times plus damages and over mileage. All of which did not reflect my contract. My experience was extremely disappointing and would never again do business with this company..

I booked last minute with Budget so that we could drive to Positano, Almalfi Coast. Both the pick up and drop off was smooth and easy. Highly recommended.

Our issue was with the zero response to a road side assistance when a rear right tire went flat on the busy autostrada approximately 80 km from Rome. Left stranded in 30+ Celsius heat that lasted two hours until forced to change the tire on our own due to the non responsive actions of Budgets road side Assistance number.
