. Long wait at Albuquerque airport for pickup of car as counter was understaffed. However once we got to the counter, agent was very helpful and efficient. .
i was surprised by additional charges at pick-up. i would have gotten a better rate booking directly with budget.
Pros:We received the type of car that we expected. Drop-off was super quick and easy.
Cons:The rental process took well over an hour. Once we received the car, it was dirty. There were potato chips all over floorboard, a bag of opened Gold fish in the console. There was less than half a tank of gas. We cleaned the windshield one time and then the windshield cleaning fluid was empty. Despite being promised by "Dirk" that we would not be charged for bringing the car back with less than a full gas tank, we were charged. When this was discovered, I was on phone hold for 30 minutes to correct the error. Fortunately, there was a note on our record of Dirk's promise and a refund was processed. Will see how long it actually takes to refund the overcharge. This was the least pleasant rental experience I have ever had with a well-known company.
Pros:They did upgrade me because the thought the car I had would have a hard time going over mountain passes
Cons:I can't think of anything.
I paid for an SUV and was given a car with the smallest trunk space. We couldn’t even get all our luggage in the back.
