I pre-paid for the rental through Priceline. I was told by the employee at the pick up that I had pre-paid, and was only going to pay for fuel used. I wanted a midsize car, and I ended up in a Chevy Spark because the only 2 Corollas on the lot had dead batteries. I’m 6’4”…NOT a good fit. When I returned the car, they charged me for the entire rental again. I reached out to customer service by email, no response for ten days. I tried to call, and could not connect with a human being. I emailed customer service again, and have now been told that I signed off on the charges so there is nothing they will do. I am completely shocked, and entirely disappointed in Hertz.

Overall check in etc was fine. I prepaid my rental bc it gave me a break in cost ($30?), and I did so bc the terms said the rental was fully refundable for cancellation outside of 24 hours. Four days prior to my trip, I had a change in plan which necessitated me coming home a day earlier. The prepaid contract didn’t allow for a refund for unused days. So I decided to cancel and rebook (still with Hertz) at a cheaper rate bc of less time. The cancellation fee was 2/3 the cost of the entire rental! Completely misleading. I was really unhappy with this situation and felt taken advantage of.

I had to cancel my reservation 4 days in advance my data passed and was still charged a $100 for the cancelation the guy on the phone didn't want to hear it or work with me on that at all so now I'm not happy with I'm priceline who the car was through

Had to wait in a long line in the middle of the night and then again wait for a car to be actually ready. They were however really great about giving us a random upgrade (choosing whatever we wanted from the "presidential" section). Got a nice SUV for the price of an economy compact.
