When I hve a reservation for 2pm p/u, arrive at the counter at 1:50pm, and am told I may have to wait for a while because they have no cars in my rental class ready, I get little miffed. After I declined to accept that scenario, the rep located another vehicle to expedite my departure.
Good experience w the rental.
Pickup counter was understaffed and I waited about 30 minutes to pick up the car. At night it was hard to see, but in daylight I noticed the car seats had some candy stains from previous renters. The car was a slightly upgraded size from what I reserved, and I'm confident it was the best price I could have gotten for those dates.
I waited in line for 2 hours and was told my car wasn’t available tho I had pre paid for a pick up. I had to pay A LOT more for a larger car or wait at least 3 more hours. I could not wait so I paid the up charge. I felt manipulated and angry. They had over booked their car supply. Many other people in line were also angry & frustrated
The car was fine, but I had to wait in line for an hour and a half to get it (at the Sacramento airport). The line extended almost the entire length of the rental building. At no time did any staffer make any kind of announcement about the cause of the delay. They just let us stew. I will not use Thrifty again.
