My main complaint is lack of employees at counter. There were 2 agents working at the counter when I picked up my car. It took as long to get my rental car as it took to fly from Florida to Boston or it felt like it. I am a frequent tourist traveler and I am paying for my car not my company. I thought waiting in TSA line was bad. Rental car line is the new travel punishment.

Kayak was able to get rates and availability that wasn't available anywhere else and the Hertz service teams were professional and courteous in a stressful situation (last-minute cancelled cross-country flights).

Prepaid $800 of car booking with Kayak and Hertz said they couldn’t see that I had prepaid when picking up the car despite having my booking. So far it seems that $800 has been stolen by one of the parties.
