I was given an electric car and although I was assured it would be "easy" to charge, I faced a lot of difficulty because the charging stations in Norway require steady data to be used. I also had to download a lot of different apps and creat accounts (that required refundable deposits on my credit card). There were a few times in the mountains where I could t get a decent connection and my car wouldn't charge! I was stranded until a nice local paid for some charge for me. The payment system also works better with Norwegian credit cards.

Despite having forwarded a deposit of $445 on our rental vehicle, Hertz gave our car away to another customer, had no replacement, and claimed they did not have our money (they did). This created a cascade of unfortunate events and inconvenience, plus a substantial increase in cost. They very nearly ruined our trip! We plan to seek compensation for our angst and trouble.
