I got to the line to collect the car, and there was no staff. No one informed us we had to stand in the HERTZ lines I had to walk around and ask other companies where the representative was. We then stood in line for 2 hours and 40 mins to get our car. We waited most of that time outside in the COLD parking garage. I have three kids and we didn't leave until 11:40pm. We had to be up the next day at 5am. It was horrendous. Their was one guy working the inside desk and one guy organizing car pick up. It was completely unorganized. The pick up line was huge. I will NEVER use Thrifty again.
Pros:The employees were incredibly friendly.
Cons:You had two agents working the counter. It took over an hour and fifteen minutes to check out my car. That’s excessive. Everyone in line ahead of me had a reservation so it’s not like you weren’t expecting the influx of renters at that time.
I like the convince of just having to scan a qr code to check out. What could have been better is that they could have cleaned the inside better. There was pet hair that still needed to be vacuumed out. My son found food in the 3rd rookie seat. All just gross.
They do not take debit cards as advertised. Unfortunately, I hit a deer rendering my vehicle undrivable. We had to put the rental under my husband’s name since I only have a virtual credit card and their system is too old to utilize this newer technology. This resulted in an additional $13 fee per day! The whole situation was stressful enough with the circumstances of my rental and then to be charged additional money on top…Unacceptable! I won’t be using Thrifty again!
