It should be clearly stated in your advert that insurance is NOT included. This was twice as expensive as expected. Advertising a low price and then doubling the price by adding some mandatory costs is illegal in Europe.

The rental rate was much too expensive, but there was a train strike, so we had no choice but to rent a car. We were charged 55 euros for gas when we’d only used one bar on the fill line. There are no gas stations prior to the drop off location at the airport. None. There is a BP on the other side of the road, but the signage is very poor at the airport & we couldn’t get to the gas station or try harder because the passport control line was an hour & half long at the airport & we had no choice. 55 euros for such a small amount of gas is absolutely ridiculous considering the situation at this airport.

We had to catch a flight from Florence at 6:30 am but the drop off office didn’t open until 8 am. We dropped the car at the short term lot at the airport. Their local number didn’t work so I finally got in touch with customer service in Europe and they couldn’t contCt the airport rental office either. Overall, great car but drop off service was not great.

The Sixt office was closed and told by Hilton next door office had been closed for over a year. Then call Sixt and was told office should be open but clearly it was not. Lady on phone said she would call back in 30 minutes. Never received a call. Since we had to be at a wedding an hour outside of Brusels we had to take a taxi there and back for a cost of ovet $300. Terrible service by Kayak and Sixt.

When I arrived at the Sixt location the office was closed. I went into the Hilton hotel and was told that office had been closed for over a year. I then called the sixt company and spoke to a woman who said the office should be open but clearly it was not. She said she would call me back in about 30 minutes. I never got a call back. Since I had to be at a wedding an hour out of Brussels I had to take a taxi there and back for a cost of over $300. This is the worst experience ever with booking.com, Priceline and Sixt.

Person at the pickup center was helpful and informative. Dropping rental off in Antwerp was a nightmare, only because there are no signs for where to go. Do your planning (with a map) before returning car to Antwerp parking garage. Also, plan where to buy fuel before returning. There is NO nearby gas station.

The car was new and comfortable and ran smoothly. However, upon returning it, the staff of the company charged us 360 euros for a very small scratch located in a place impossible to spot, which was there before we picked up the car. We protested vehemently and the staff accepted to lower the damage bill to 170 euros, but any amount charged to us in unacceptable as the whole process shows clearly the bad faith of the rental company. Relying on scamming car companies does no good to the reputation of Kayak.

The reservation was not used at all. The price didn't include any kind of insurance, Budget desk in Charleroi wanted to block 23000 Euro (!!!) on my credit card for this reservation. The Budget representative said this is a common practice and I should not use a proxy in the future and should book direct to them.

It’s a small office, but staff was friendly and helpful, the car was ready and clean, and upon return they helped us get a cab to the train station. I would recommend them highly.

The pick-up/drop-off process is seamless and worry free. I just found the price of a GPS quite high. I also got a notice that one of the front tires was deflated just as I got on the highway after leaving the airport. However, inflating tires is free in Belgium and it was only a momentary issue.
