Definitely the worst rental car experience I’ve had. They overbook and even though I had a reservation and paid online, I was told there would be a 3 hour wait for a car because they had no cars. They were not kind nor remorseful about the situation. There was no attempt made to make the situation better. Managment and counter people were not kind, and really didn’t care about the customers who were waiting for a rental car. Poor customer service, especially if you try to call thrifty themselves. Would avoid thrifty/dollar rental car/hertz at all costs.

Cons:They could have had the car there that I rented, or any car for that matter, but instead they were shut down at their counter with a sign redirecting customers to Dollar Rental that had no cars available. I want my prepaid money returned!!

My family and I flew to DFW once we got there, we got to the counter where the agent told us they did not have our rental.. The lady at the counter suggested to go and asked the other companies to see if they have a car similar to what we had reserved.. or our name will be placed on a waiting list but she didn’t know when a car will be available to accommodate the number of people we had.. We got on the waiting list and finally after almost 2 Hali’s we got a car .. I firmly believe i reserved a car once I get to my destination the car should be there.. After along fly all you wanted to do is get to a hotel and rest not wait at the airport.. My Family and I were not happy at all..

We stood in line for an hour and a half at DFW, without reaching the front counter. We eventually went with National, and we're out in under 5 minutes.

Pros:The staff were working hard to make the best out of a bad situation.
Cons:I paid over $500 for a full dive SUV that they didn’t even have. Thrifty wasn’t even open. They sent all their customers to Dollar Car. There was a 100+ people waiting for cars. IT TOOK AN HOUR AND 45 MINUTES TO GET OUR CAR.
