The lady who worked the front desk was a saint. My flight got cancelled so I decided to drive back to home which was Texas. She made getting our vehicle fast and easy and was such a delight. Thank you

SUV was clean and fairly priced. Because airport is small, there is limited staff so there wasn't curbside service for the return. Had to wait in line and ended up taking ~20 minutes. Overall, a good experience, though.

Needed a major credit card prior to checking out the vehicle it said for people who don't have major credit card but can use debit card instead need to update their website never got the rental on the day I was supposed to but good thing because I saved even more and got here cheaper than the rental place

Both key fobs needed the batteries changed and the car was in need of an oil change/service. I know this because the warnings popped up the first (and every) time I turned on the engine. They had to be cleared by pressing the “ok” button each time for each warning. Should have been taken care of before me renting it. Would have been extremely annoying to get stuck out on the road broken down or locked out. Otherwise the counter help was super efficient and very nice.

Renting a car for a few days should not cost as much as it does. I drove the car to my destination and back. The car did not move while I was at my destination.

Hertz does not give the customer an option for reaching a human being by phone. My drop off location was Saberton WV. The hours posted online were till 5pm (Wed). From noon Wednesday, I had no option to reach a person (customer service) to ask a question regarding drop off. When I called the online 800# and the number on the business card provide, the outgoing recording looped around for extending the rental and provided no option for a live human. I arrived at the drop off at 3:45. The location was locked up with no key drop box option. I left the car with the key in it. I have no way to contact this office, because of the way the phone line works.

Obviously, higher prices for rental cars was not appealing, but the overall experience was good. The actual Hertz location in Parkersburg, West Virginia, was professional and organized. That part of the process was outstanding. Car was clean and performed as expected.

The shuttle consisted of two cars only picking up the “drivers” and leaving the rest of family members at the airport for about an hour. Others even longer. They are quick to take your reservation and put a 300 dollar hold on your credit car but fail to tell you they don’t have a man actual shuttle. And the cars picking us up were about 30 minutes late. Everyone who rented a vehicle was upset we had to leave wife’s, kids, grandparents at the airport waiting. Not professional

i liked how friendly the staff was and how clean and nice the car was. i didn't like the surprise deposit that i wasn't made aware of when i booked the rental on kayak. it cost me an extra $300 and made me run short money on my vacation.
