Car Hire in Colorado

I upgraded to a larger vehicle, but when I came out, there was going to be a slight wait to get one. I went ahead and took the size I had originally reserved because I was in a hurry (plane had been delayed twice) thinking I would straighten it out when I returned. However, upon return, the office had already lowered the cost to the original amount, so there was no follow up visit I needed. Other businesses could learn some tips from the way I was greeted and treated. I will rent from Alamo again.

No line, fast shuttle to and from airport, helpful and kind staff

Terrific, great car and good customer service

The agent that helped me out was great - his name was "The Anthony" - he was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and kind. The car was nice, too, but it had a lot of dings and scratches on it. It looked like most of them were noted on the report, but then when I went to take it back, they accused me of damaging the hood of the car (I did not). I've never had a rental car place try something like that before. I trusted Sixt to be fair and honest about their car, but now I feel betrayed.

Our car reservation was 30 miles from the airport. Enterprise wound up canceling our reservation and we had to get a last minute car from Dollar. The price difference was doubled. We made the original reservation weeks ahead of time in good faith. We flew half way across the country and almost had our vacation derailed because of some online miscommunication. Between third party bookings and Enterprise’s horrible customer service I will definitely be making my vacation plans differently next time.

Entered Denver Airport for our pickup and return location and it immediately popped up the variety of car options to reserve. We selected our small SUV and completed our reservation. Upon arrival at the airport following the rental car location we took the shuttle to the Enterprise location at which we were told the reservation want at the airport location and was actually downtown. We then had to spend $60 to Uber downtown to a dirty lot with two cars on site. The agent told us he could see our original reservation was as for the airport location but that it put us at their downtown location as cars were booked out at the other. The car smelled absolutely horrible- like a dirty diaper pale. We had to keep all the windows down to drive it. We returned the car and the manager said he could waive $100 for the odor but nothing else as it was an issue with Kayak’s reservation system and not Enterprise. I won’t rent through Kayak again….

Line for pick up was nearly an hour. Drop off was chaos: no attendants at all.

WY too long a line, and took way too long at the counter

Vehicle was not thoroughly cleaned (still had trash in it from previous users). Cracked windshield. Not enough customer service people to service customers in a timely manner (particularly at pickup).

Got a call the morning of the rental to say our appointment was canceled. Not acceptable at all and got offered a $20 coupon for having to take a $100 uber to another rental location. Will not be using Budget.

They overcharged me and added fraudulent fees.

people at the rental car counter were extremely helpful and speedy. Great experience. Have now used them on 2 separate rentals and would highly recommend them.

Car is dirty, scratches and non working accelerator

Quick, easy, great service, affordable rental. Pickup and drop off were super easy and the shuttle was right on time. Would definitely use them again!!

The car itself was great, and drop off was very smooth. Pickup though was awful. Their computers were down for more than a half hour. The line got longer and longer but there was only one agent, who just shrugged and said there was nothing he could do. He finally put us on a shuttle to Avis. We were thrilled at first, but the lines there were insane, and the Avis agents had difficulty making the Payless reservation work in their system. Finally, I was handed… a sticky note? that I hoped would give me a car. I headed outside to find another huge line, but this one outdoors in 100 degree summer weather. This line also took so long. Between the heat and the long wait, I felt like I might pass out. The lines were stuck because they had no cars. They were washing them as soon as they came in and would immediately give out the wet car to someone in line via some confusing system on the sticky note. They started just giving people trucks or whatever had just rolled out, and the customers would just take any vehicle (who cares what the reservation was for at this point) to get out of the heat. I liked the car I was offered and snatched it up, like any sane person would after all of that. Overall, it took about 2.5 hr to actually get the car, with about 45 minutes of that outside in the heat.

Be more transparent with ALL the Fees and Taxes. Give me the bottom line WITH Insurance and ALL Fees.

The shuttle is understaffed and the available SUV is not AWD. Avoid.

Simple pick up. Clean vehicle. Vehicle was in good shape without concerns. Upgraded to midsize pickup. Everything was great. Friendly staff. Overall great experience!

Amazing customer service.

Pick up was difficult, my credit cards had been hacked. I destroyed them, the clerk gave me a hard time because of this. I explained to her that it would not be an issue and would gladly call my credit card company. She ran the new card and Surprise there was no problem. They did give me an upgrade which was very nice. No need for the drama.
